Private Cricket Coaching Structure

Step 1 – Set Up and Introduction

Our coaches will greet parents/carers and players 5-10 minutes prior to the planned start time of the cricket coaching lesson at the agreed upon location. Coaches communicate their lesson plan with the player and our coaches will seek feedback from players regarding specific objectives or desires they wish to have satisfied during the lesson.

Step 2 – Implementation of the Cricket Coaching Lesson

Following the introduction, our coaches will implement a range of cricket coaching drills, activities and strategies. Every 10-15 minutes, the coach will implement a new or different coaching technique. Our lesson plan can focus entirely on batting, bowling or fielding or it can be a combination of batting, bowling and fielding. Coaches will give players the choice of combinations so the preferences of players can be addressed. During the lesson, coaches will make use of video recording devices to provide instant feedback to players regarding performance and execution of specific skills.

Step 3 – Reflection on and Evaluation of the Cricket Coaching Lesson

Our coaches enter into conversations with the player and parent where evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of the cricket coaching lesson take place. From determining the suitability of the coaching strategies used through to assessing the level of progress achieved during the lesson and identifying areas for further player improvement, our coaches will wrap up the cricket coaching lesson with a focus on consolidating the lesson into a brief snapshot of learning for the player and parent.

What Customers and Players Are Saying About Us

Luke’s knowledge of the technical aspects of cricket, along with his awareness of how to make coaching sessions engaging and educational, allows him to create a fun and positive learning environment for children. I’ve seen Luke in action at his school holiday cricket camps with his team of coaches. The cricket coaching programs used by Team Super Sports Camps combines technical advice with stimulating game sense drills and activities to help every junior cricketer reach their goals.

Josh Hazlewood – Australian Fast Bowler

We highly recommend Luke if you are looking for some private or small group cricket training. His outstanding technical knowledge was matched by his calm demeanour, meaning he could not only help our son with his cricket skills but also knew when to change things up if he noticed any frustrations. Luke was really responsive to our goals, working with our son in such a positive manner and we got regular feedback. Thanks for being a great coach, Luke!

Caroline Rowland

Luke has been training Jacob for about 12 months. Jacob’s game has progressed on every level. His bowling is faster and more accurately, his batting is sharper with more range of shots, and his fielding has more energy and accuracy. Luke is very patient and has excellent teaching techniques that keep lessons fresh and engaging. We highly recommend Luke as a coach to get the most out of your child’s cricket.

Cheyne and Liz Wagner

I engaged Luke as my son wanted to improve his cricket all round. Luke has proven to be an excellent choice. He has been very accommodating in terms of timing and location of coaching sessions. Luke was quickly able to assess my sons’ skill level and then tailored his coaching program accordingly. What my son and I liked most is that Luke focused on the main aim of batting which is, of course, scoring runs. It wasn’t just about looking good but rather he focused on timing, finding gaps and how the ball should be hit to have the most chance of beating fielders. It was next level stuff. Luke also talked regularly about confidence and positivity and the importance of a good attitude. He is very knowledgeable and his coaching included a variety of drills aimed at improving all areas of the game. My son thoroughly enjoyed his sessions with Luke and was always keen for the next one. Luke’s coaching is excellent value for money and we will be using him again. I highly recommend him.

Peter Fitzgibbon

Since Luke has been our son’s cricket coach, we have noticed improvements in both his batting and bowling. Luke is very patient. He pays attention to the details and is able to provide clear instructions for our 10 year old. Our son enjoys his cricket sessions with Luke and he finds it helpful that Luke is able to explain to him the more technical aspects of cricket.

Amy Luong

Luke is well prepared and equipped to provide a positive and safe learning environment for junior cricketers to develop their game. He has formed a positive relationship with both of my children aged 7 and 13 because he has the ability to implement a range of effective coaching techniques. His friendly nature combined with his technical knowledge and ability to give appropriate verbal, video and written feedback makes him a highly recommendable coach to parents seeking to help their children become the best possible cricketer.

Ben Whitehouse

Hi Luke. Just a short note to say thank you for the cricket training sessions with my 10 year old son Angus. You helped develop his bowling and batting skills in a fun, enjoyable way. He really enjoyed the sessions and is keen to continue. It was really nice for me to see his improved confidence and increased enjoyment on the cricket field. We are looking forward to next season and will definitely be back for some more individual training sessions.

Anna Koskinen

There isn’t enough I can say about Super Sports Camps and Coach Luke Reynolds. My son had been having trouble with some of the finer points in his bowling action and with the way Luke applies himself has most certainly taken my son to another level. I found Luke to be fully invested in what he teaches and what each individual’s goals are, no matter what the age. He simply wants you to succeed and be the best you can possibly be, he is a genuine person and an amazing coach. “I wish I had found him earlier for my son”.

Russell Henderson

The first time I met Luke at an Inner West Winter Cricket Clinic, I quickly noticed how well organised he was. This allowed him to have a high degree of engagement from and with the kids at the clinic. After a few days, I approached Luke for 1 or 1 coaching for my son Patrick. From what I have witnessed, the professionalism and care shown by Luke enables him to improve any cricketers performance regardless of their skill level or age. I would highly recommend Luke and his team to any junior cricketer. Thank you.
